Automation meets software development: Develop intelligent solutions at the intersection of electrical engineering, PLC programming, and C#/.NET. The focus is on advancing our central control system, modern control technologies, and future AI applications.

Your challenges:

  • Further development of our automation and control solutions for extrusion lines

  • Programming and further development of PLC systems, particularly Siemens and Beckhoff

  • Development of custom software solutions and functionalities using C# and .NET – going beyond traditional PLC programming and the use of standard function blocks

  • Further development of our central control system for operating, monitoring and analysing our production equipment

  • Integration of machine control systems, production data and higher-level software systems

  • Development of interfaces between PLCs, databases and software applications

  • Collection, processing and structured use of machine and process data

  • Contribution to the integration and further development of AI applications in the production environment

  • Analysis of existing systems and development of new automation and digitalisation solutions

  • Close collaboration with electrical engineering, mechanical design, process engineering and software development

Your profile:

  • Technical education or degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, computer science or a comparable field

  • Solid experience in PLC programming, particularly with Siemens and/or Beckhoff

  • Very good high-level programming skills, particularly in C# and .NET

  • Good understanding of electrical engineering, machine control systems and industrial automation

  • Experience in combining PLC and high-level programming

  • Knowledge of databases and industrial communication interfaces is an advantage

  • Interest in AI, digitalisation and data-driven production

  • Independent, analytical and solution-oriented way of working

What Makes This Position Special

We are not looking for a pure PLC programmer or a traditional application developer. This position combines electrical engineering and industrial automation with modern software development.

The focus is on the further development of our machine control systems and our central production control system. This requires both a strong understanding of machinery and PLC technology as well as solid C#/.NET expertise.

Looking ahead, AI-powered functionalities will also play an increasingly important role in our production and automation solutions.
